Shimabuku Tatsuo is credited for being the dragon boy (though Tatsuo means "dragon man"). Angi Uezu is the former head of one of the major Isshin-ryu karate organizations, the Okinawan Isshin-Ryu Karate Kobudo Association. He is the son-in-law of the system's founder, Shimabuku Tatsuo, Harry B. Acklin (Sichi Dan) - Isshin Ryu Hall of Fame 1994 A retired deputy Sheriff in the detective bureau of the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Department, For a year Angi Uezu lived in Acklin’s home and helped him instruct in Acklin’s dojo. His basics and kata(s) stressed an emphasis on execution as Master Shimabuku had taught them. Jan Wellendorf trained under Harry B. Acklin and Angi Uezu and became an instructor at Acklin's dojo. Bill Osterholt began training in 1970 with GM Kwon under the International Tae Kwon Do Federation in 1970 Bill Osterholt began training under the American Karate System with Mr.Jan Wellendorf in 1975.
